Baked Gratin Dauphinois |
Ingredients:
- 2 pounds potatoes peeled and thinly sliced (about 4 medium baking potatoes)
- 2 Cups Half and Half (you could use heavy cream...)
- 2/3 Cups Skim Milk (first time for everything)
- 1 clove Garlic Minced
- 1 Teaspoon Salt
- 1/4 Teaspoon White Pepper
- 1/2 Pound Grated Gruyere (Fancy Swiss) Cheese
Prepared Gratin Dauphinois |
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 400
- Combine all ingredients, except cheese, and mix
- Layer half of potatoes in Gratin dish, sprinkle with 4 ounces cheese
- Add remaining potatoes and pour mixture over potatoes, top with remaining cheese
- Bake 60 minutes or until golden, bubbly and cooked through
