Cranberry Apple Cake with Butter Sauce
Combine in Medium Bowl
- 12 ounces cranberries
- 1 Apple peeled and diced
- 1/2 cup brown sugar (lightly packed)
- 1 Tablespoon Tangerine Zest (or orange zest)
- 1 teaspoon Orange Extract (optional)
- 1/4 cup Tangerine Juice (or orange juice)
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 3/4 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Cranberry Apple Cake Baking |
- Beat 2 eggs 2 minutes in mixer
- Add 1 Cup Sugar
- 1 stick melted and slightly cooled butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- Beat until just combined
- Add 1 Cup Flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup sugar
- Bring to boil in sauce pan, boil 2 minutes
- Add 1 Teaspoon Vanilla
- Serve Warm or Chilled
